I was raised in Vienna, Va just outside Washington D.C. My educational background is in painting and later, art conservation. I have a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University. I still paint and conserve paintings however I am also passionate about travel and photography. My photographs have always been socially conscious although often presented with humor. I love to play with vintage and toy cameras, sometimes taking them apart and creating new ones for visual effect. I also experiment with various printing techniques searching for a way to bridge my experience and love of painting with photography.
